Scotts driver training South Queensferry and surrounding areas

☆☆UPDATE☆☆
Just a quick update to our pupils and facebook followers. Although we can not return to work at the moment, one of the things the government are advising business's to do before we return is to have a risk assessment in place. This week we spoke with Work Place Health and Safety Advice Service who set about this request for us. We are happy to announce that we now have a full risk assessment in place to ensure that we are prepared when lockdown restrictions are lifted. Can't wait to catch up with all our pupils again.

As a supplier to the maritime industry it is essential that our health and safety processes mirror the high standard of product that we and our clients produce.
Given Phil’s expert background he very quickly understood our needs and provided a considered practical review of our processes.
We are continuing to work together as our organisational needs and processes change. As such we would strongly recommend the knowledgeable, personable and detailed services provided by the Company.

You are thorough with your perception of how to execute a workscope safely. Sometimes within control of work we need to use common sense although still adhering to the COW guidelines. I've always found you to be very realistic in terms of the likelihood of the Hazard becoming a source of accident/incident. I see AA's regularly who cant use common sence when a simple task needs to be delivered. Waiting on a piece of paperwork from Tom , Dick or Harry resulting in waiting time and delays. Even if everyone knows the hazard is zero they can't deviate away from that handbook and take responsibility.

You have many hands on years experience both onshore and offshore, you never just sat in a classroom learning health and safety you were out in the real world working and learning at the same time

To whom it may concern
I have known and worked with Phil at Sullom Voe Terminal over a 10 year period, working on behalf of both BP and Enquest. I would happily work with him again and highly recommend his skills, knowledge and services. Phil and I worked very closely together on normal planned maintenance and breakdown work but also on a number of major electrical upgrades required for the life extension project at Sullom Voe Terminal.
As REP, Responsible Electrical Person, I am responsible for all electrical buildings, equipment, work and personnel at Sullom Voe. Phil as an Area Authority / Control of Work Specialist was vital in assisting me at breaking down tasks and developing method statements for the ease of risk assessing, planning and scheduling.
A number of the tasks required level 2 risk assessments, for high risk tasks, involving a team of selected experienced people, required for open flame hot work, confined space, or working live equipment. Phil was our dedicated Area Authority and facilitator and always kept us on track with legislation, procedures and processes.
Examples of projects we worked on was the replacement of 415V to 3.3KV transformers, 3.3KV to 11 KV transformers , upgrade of critical UPS systems in multiply sub station, installation of new gas plant, installation of new laggan pig station, upgrade of existing pig station, bypass and decommissioning of sub stations, replacement of plant cable tray.
All works carried out accross the site:- Offsites area, Jetty location to main Process area and all work carried out without any accident and incidents.
I know Phil would be a worthy addition to any workforce.

A bit unusual, but Workplace Health and Safety Advice Services would like to add a testimonial and promote an individual
Some groups of people and companies deserve our support, one such person does a fantastic job in the voluntary sector, he doesn't mention on his site, but he is also a registered carer, looking after his wife
